So I took the liberty to call the office of my family doctor today to see what was up with my blood test and I was told that my blood test didn’t show any sign of anything bad so that’s why I wasn’t called. Now I’m no doctor myself but I’m pretty sure I have something plaguing me. Anyone can take a quick peek down my throat and easily see the inflamation along with a whiteness on my tongue. I wake up every day with a pretty nasty feeling in my throat that descreases somewhat throughout the day. I feel pretty the same as I did four weeks ago when I started this ordeal. So after spending about $50 on meds, 2-3 hours of my time running around I’m no better off then when I started. /sulk

So I just spent another day reinstalling Windows and various other things. I just did the same thing about… 2 weeks ago. There were some file corruption problems for some reason that prevented Windows from booting up. It would begin to start up then reboot repeatedly. I’m leanings towards it being a problem that apparently exits with the newest version of the nVidia chipset drivers and version of the BIOS on the motherboard. I updated my BIOS just after reinstalling Windows so hopefully the problems will go away for good this time. This still doesn’t totally explain why I was having problems before as I was using an older version of the chipset drivers that should have worked fine with the BIOS. I was also using an older (still free) version of FRAPS that apparently caused file corruption problems when used with latest ATI Catalyst drivers. There’s still a problem with that explaination because while that explains the problem I was having since yesterday when I first reinstalled FRAPS but doesn’t really explain the problems I was having before. I’m currently attributing that to my Maxtor hard drive. That may change though if when I get around to sending it back and Maxtor tells me it’s fine.
That probably doesn’t mean anything to most people reading this but that’s ok because I don’t think anyone is actually reading this just yet .

It’s now Wednesday morning and I haven’t heard a word from my doctor regarding my blood test from Friday. I find it rather strange that my mom knew that there’s no way the results would be ready for Monday yet my doctor thought it would be cool to get my hopes up and tell me they would be ready on Monday (2 days ago…).
In other news I ordered a 2 GB memory stick duo for my PSP from be$tbuy.ca . I’m hoping I can now turn around and buy a Sony camera that would use the thing which would be pretty cool considering I’m leaving for Italy in…. 9 days . I’m guessing a 2 GB card will hold about 1500 pictures from a 5 megapixel camera on the normal quality setting which is pretty sweet considering that I probably won’t have access to a computer or anything to dump the pictures and the more I can retain on a single card the better. I can probably squeeze out some pictures onto the card that came with PSP as well but 32MB isn’t even 2% of the 2 GB card. Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve taken 1500 pictures in my entire life actually . Hopefully I can scrounge up the courage to ask every pretty girl I see to take a picture with me .

I’ve been sick with something for about 3 weeks now. I already took some antibiotics but nothing has really changed in my condition and I’m really quite annoyed. Anyway, I went to see the doctor again today and as I was seated waiting for my turn I noticed the secretary giving a rather attractive and very pregnant young lady a small bottle without saying much more than “Fill that up please”. So the lady leaves the room for a few minutes and when she returns the bottle is of course now … full. So she places it on the counter and her daughter who’s sitting beside me asks “Mommy, what is that?”. The mom was younger and pretty “cool” so she has no problem whispering “It’s my pee”. The little girl then asked, “How do you do it?”.

I’d give anything to be young again .

So apparently there’s a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie in the works. I find it really weird that there was no indication that this was coming prior to the release of this trailer. I also find it surprising that this is being done via computer generated images and not live action like the TMNT movies of my youth. The silky smoothness of the anmiation looks exceptionally good (do yourself a favour and watch the high definition version) so I’m not worried about it not looking good. The only thing that’s left is the story. Being a teaser there’s no indication whatsoever as to what the story will revolve around so the fans can only guess and speculate at this point. Personally, I would think it would be really cool if they used Krang since he never made an appearance in the live action movies and this being a GCI movie would make using the Krang character relatively hassle free. As far as I know though, Krang was only introduced in the TV show and does not appear in the comics so I guess it really depends on which TMNT “universe” the writer of the script chose to tap in to.

I went to go watch You, Me and Dupree on weekend with my friend Ramona and it actually wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. The current rating on rottentomatoes.com is 20% which I thought was rather low. I think it’s worth pointing out that that’s the critic score. The every day Joe User score is 68% at the moment which I agree with. It’s basically a cute little story that makes you giggle and you tear up a little, if you’re in to that sort of thing of course. Kate Hudson is easy on the eyes too . If you’re expecting more than that from Owen Wilson we’ll that’s your problem .

So apparently the US has a person that regulates E-commerce on the Internet. Let’s hear what he has to say:

So it appears that the Zidane incident is going to be investigated. Some (including an Italian lip reader…) are saying that Materazzi called Zidane a terrorist and/or spoke ill of his mother and/or sister.

In all seriousness, FIFA has stated that they are looking into the matter in order to determine if any actions need to be taken against either of them. I’m guessing they’re focusing on Materazzi. It would be a shame if Materazzi did call Zidane a terrorist considering that the theme of the games was about making friends and had an anti racist stance (Materazzi is believed to have called Zidane based on his Albanian heritage). We’ll just have to wait and see what develops…

One thing that’s come out of this is the plethroa of animated gives related to that little incident with Zidane. I won’t induce seizures by posting any… yet. I wonder what Materazzi said to him to provoke such a response. Neither of the two are talking so the world will probably never know…

So Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest came out yesterday and I checked it out with my friend Steve. It was pretty fun all around and the audience was really into it, right from the start when they cheered the Disney logo . If there’s one thing that I realised after watching this movie it’s that Disney makes pretty good films. They’re never overly violent, full of swearing or nudity and do a great job telling a story.

Some people have criticised the movie as being just a teaser for the next film. While the movie did heighten my anticipation for the next one it did entertain me at the same time. What more is a the second movie in a trilogy supposed to do?
